    CTG is searching for a full timeBusiness Systems Analystto support theEnterprise Architecture Team. This is aremote positionbut must be available for the core business hours of 10am – 6pm Pacific time. This position would work to define specifications, target architecture rather than user requirements. Must have experience with Process modeling and business impact analysis.

    Purpose of Position:Document, design, develop and implement new systems, programs and processes, as well as documenting and enhancing existing systems, programs and processes. The individual who fills this position will act as the Business Systems Analyst for all business and product lines and/or supporting department. The position will interface with, but not limited to Development, Business & System Owners, Product Management, System Architects, Engineers and end-users. Experience in Agile delivery methodology is strongly preferred for this position. It is expected that this position will be a self starter, take charge type of individual who is able to collaborate with all levels of the organization.

    Position’s Customer(s): Senior Management, application managers, Project Managers, Product and business management, cross-functional project teams, other GCI departments, and contractors/vendors as directed/needed.

    Essential Duties of Position:

    60% Technical:

    • Research, investigate, and evaluate the applicability of external, or internal, solutions for business problems.

    • Develop and communicate, or facilitate the development of solution specifications for business problems, according to standard methodologies.

    • Evaluate internal and external solutions against current GCI and/or industry standards.

    • Communicate business and/or technical solution requirements to vendors and/or technical teams and assess the applicability of the vendor solution to the defined technical or business requirements.

    • Evaluate and communicate the applicability of one system solution vs. another in terms of the defined business and technical requirements.

    • Lead, facilitate, or perform, appropriate documentation to support the transition of a preliminary solution evaluation effort to a project team for implementation. This will include any process, financial, functional, vendor evaluations or other documentation as appropriate to support the project implementation process. All documentation will conform to existing project documentation standards.

    • Lead, facilitate, or perform, appropriate documentation to support the transition of a project to a production support team.     • Research, investigate and evaluate current industry or GCI specific technology trends.

    • Document and communicate GCI or industry trends to the appropriate stakeholders.

    40% Business Process and Research:

    • Provides leadership on project teams as appropriate

    • Consult with business area to apply effectively, incorporate best practices, and assure quality of small project delivery (products and services).

    • Ability to apply LEAN thinking to analysis and make appropriate recommendations for implementation.

    • Develop a strong working relationship between business customers and the department.

    • Prepares, communicates and educates business unit clients and/or team on changes in policies and/or practices within the business units.

    • Contribute annual strategic plans, objectives and budgets for department related initiatives for assigned business units.

    • Defines business requirements, identifies trends and gaps with existing systems and monitors/promotes existing projects to ensure successful completion on time and within budget.

    • Conducts regular, periodic meetings with business unit, technical team, and management on active and upcoming projects; conducts monthly meetings with key business unit contacts and technical

    • Research document, evaluate technical or business processes, and identify inefficient areas.

    • Reengineer business processes to optimally support business strategic objectives

    • Develop the following financial models:

    • Operational cost modeling

    • Capital cost modeling

    • Vendor cost modeling

    • ROI

    • Develop and communicate business or technical impact analysis

    • As required, provide a technical point of contact for the applicable business areas wishing to access resources and services.

    • Lead, influence and negotiate with staff and management, using creative problem solving to define needs and resolve issues.

    • Provides two-way communication and education between areas and business areas to ensure requirements are understood and customers understand how we can best support them.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge: Must have a working understanding of system design, such-as; networking, application design, application development, application lifecycle management, application server implementation, application server management, message queuing, and integration issues. Should understand design considerations including performance, reliability & security.

    • Communications Skills: Extremely Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly in the ability to communicate with, and understand the needs of, non-technical internal clients and communicate their needs with technical clients are essential. Instinctively senses issues and opportunities.

    • Leadership Skills: Project Management of smaller operational initiatives in either a traditional waterfall, Agile, and/or blended model

    • Technical Skills: LEAN Agile, Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, Jira, Confluence experience preferred.

    • Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. Must be technically astute, highly organized and have a reputation for meeting deadlines and budget commitments.

    • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex challenging problems and situations leading to optimal solutions. Must possess the ability to develop an understanding of a wide range of business and technical issues. Ability to use business knowledge, technical knowledge, sound judgment and resourcefulness to adapt existing policies and practices to specific situations and select among varied courses of action. Strong analytical and management skills are required.

    • Building Relationships: Excellent conflict resolution and influencing skills, have the ability to solve key issues with senior executives and the ability to work issues across different business units.

    • Results Oriented: Supports sourcing projects within agreed timeframes.

    Certifications: Industry specific certifications are highly valued and can contribute toward education. Applications, Programming, and Software certifications desirable.

    • Project Management Institute Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP and/or PMP-ACP) is highly desirable

    • Agile Certified Professional (ACP), IC Agile, LEAN Six Sigma is highly desirable

    • Certified Scrum Master (SAFE Certification is beneficial) is desirable

    • Applications, Programming, and Software certifications desirable.

    • ITIL Certification (V3 or 4), Foundation, Practitioner, Intermediate, Expert, Managing Professional, Strategic Leader, Master is desirable
