    The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will manage the human resource functions in the assigned division(s) to ensure Aaron's is attracting, motivating and retaining a high-performing, diverse, and successful workforce. The position serves as a consultant to leadership on human resources-related concerns. The successful HRBP acts as a team member champion and change agent. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to leadership and team members that mirror the business objectives of the organization.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units to understand the people needs and partner to solve concerns quickly and effectively.

    • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with business leaders to develop solutions to people strategy gaps.

    • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations for escalated concerns.

    • Provides human resource functional service to the customer(s). Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

    • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership (i.e., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

    • Support Performance Management program including performance and merit administration.

    • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

    • Train and guide team members on career development program.

    • Provides recommendations on training needs based on identification of skills gaps in business unit(s).

    • Assists other Store Support teams in implementing HR related projects, programs, and other related activities.

    Required Skills:

    • PHR and/or SPHR certification or SHRM-CP and/or SHRM-SCP a plus.

    • Must have knowledge of California HR laws.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Ability to travel 50% of the time (with little to no notice).

    • Familiarity with HRIS systems, preferably Dayforce.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Solid business acumen, consultation and relationship management skills.

    Education and Experience:

    • Five (5) years prior HR generalist experience in retail or similar industry.

    • Five (5) years of experience supporting multi-unit/multi-locations.

    • Bachelor's Degree and relevant industry experience.
