    About the job -

    The Business Analyst for HR Core Operations is responsible for understanding the overall design of the capabilities in this space from an IT perspective, understanding how Avanade uses the solutions (data and transactions as well as reporting/dashboards), and developing strong working relationships with counterparts at Accenture as well as HR business partners and super users.

    Serving as the IT BA for this capability, you will lead the impact assessment of changes that come over time working with other IT and HR teams as well as Finance business owners/super users as needed, as well as play a key role in crafting new capabilities over time. You will own coordination of testing with the business as well as with upstream and downstream applications as changes or new features/capabilities are implemented by Accenture.

    Day to day, you'll:

    • Serve as the SAP HR/Workday/ServiceNow Scoped App specialist within ITS
    • Understand processes/transactions, data and how they are used in HR processes and other HR IT capabilities as well as how they feed finance processes and flow into analytics dashboards and reporting.
    • Liaison with Business HR to understand new programs and their impact on existing capabilities and downstream systems (e.g. there is a new career level to be implemented in Workday such as 'Junior Analyst', what does the change entail and who does it impact?)
    • Attend IT and Business weekly calls
    • Partner with the Data Analytics team on HR Operational Reporting - Capture requirements for reports and dashboards, participate in QA and coordinate business validation and sign-off
    • Understand ongoing Accenture capability roadmap and Avanade's support experience roadmap and identify/assess opportunities and impacts for Avanade
    • Manage overall scope of IT integrations collaborating with other IT Service Owners and their teams as appropriate - integration requirements such as data elements to be sent/received, timing and frequency. e.g. Avature to Workday, MRDR to Avature.
    • Handle rebar and prism requests (future state)
    • Participate and coordinate the cross-team QA activities and sign-off
    • Understand and provide visibility to Downstream Dependencies
    • Maintain documentation of downstream users
    • Handle change management/communications for high impact changes with downstream users and partners - working with business change team and/or ITS change team as needed.
    • Facilitate necessary audits and processes (example: IRR e.g. identify what Avanade personal data exist in WD itself pertaining to the IIR received, submitting data deletion requests to WD (or taking self-serve measure if enabled through WD) per DPO instructions where applicable
    • Play a crucial role in maintaining GDPR Compliance for the Capability - Maintaining and updating Controls and Compliance Documentation
    • Participate in HR IT Project delivery - concentrating on design, testing and data validation.

    We'd love it if your technical experience includes:

    • Around 3-6 years of IT solutioning/delivery/operations experience
    • Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering and management
    • Applied knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile)
    • Some knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint and Social Collaboration tools
    • Knowledge of HR IT Solutions ideally including Workday, and ServiceNow HR Scoped App
