The HR Business Partner will proactively engage with leaders and other partners to build, implement, and manage human capital programs that drive business outcomes and support the next wave of growth. This role serves as a strategic and trusted advisor on matters such as talent management and development, organizational effectiveness, performance management, DE&I, employee engagement, employee relations, and change management. The HRBP will work in conjunction with the broader Gallagher Bassett and enterprise HR teams to modernize and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR operating and interaction model.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and advance a talent management strategy for assigned client groups and the broader division.
Leverage data, analytics, and insights to translate business objectives into human resources strategies that drive business results.
Continuously improve human resources practices and offerings to best position Gallagher Basset to attract, develop, reward, and retain talent.
Deploy and administer HR programing ensuring achievement of targeted outcomes and a seamless client experience.
Provide coaching and feedback to enhance management effectiveness, employee engagement, and team dynamics.
Partner with leadership to improve organizational design and effectiveness, workforce planning, and resourcing approach.
Help navigate the transition to a predominantly remote and hybrid work environment to include the propagation of culture and the continuation of an equivalent and inclusive employee experience regardless of work configuration.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and develop appropriate remedies and change management.
Support merger and acquisition due diligence and integration.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development or related field
5 or more year's relevant HR experience
Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Master's degree in human resources, organizational development, or related field
Strong business and financial acumen
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification
Comfort producing and compiling data and analytics to frame problems, opportunities, and solutions
7 years of experience in human resources consulting, human resources business partner, talent management, or equivalent experience ideally in a large, heavily decentralized organization
Experience leading through dynamic change ideally to include the building, scaling, and transition into an updated HR operating model
Experience in one or more HR specialty discipline (ex. Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Operations, etc.)
Experience with process engineering and exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies
Comfortable operating in a self-directed and autonomous fashion; motivated to take ownership
Proven resiliency and in the face of blockers and challenges
Sound judgment, tact and diplomacy in handling sensitive issues imperative
Strong conflict resolution skills with a consistent ability to remain measured and objective
Eye for continuous improvement and opportunities to re-imagine work; willingness to think disruptively
Excellent problem-solving skills utilizing data and structured methodologies
Above average verbal and written communication skills necessary
