    The Role at a Glance:

    Our Annuities IT team is growing, and we are excited to bring on a new Sr. Technical Business Analyst to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self motivated Technical BA, who not only enjoys collaborating with business stakeholders, but also likes to get into the technology with our developers. This person may not actually develop some of our data driven applications, but they would be technical enough with databases and data structures. This particular solutions team will be working in an agile environment building out our Annuties IT organization as a whole.

    Background Details:

    As Lincoln continues through it's technical transformation, our shift to a need for more Technical Business Systems Analysts has emerged. This position will be one of those new Senior Tehncial Business Analysts who have the database in skills that meet the need for LFG's technology transformation.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Advises and provides expertise to appropriate internal stakeholders to assess and deliver proposed complex technical solutions which meet business requirements and/or which integrate process, business rules and business data with technology.

    • Determines and advises the most appropriate technical response to identified complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization.

    • Determines complex IT best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.

    • Develops complex technical solution requirements for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

    • Directs, advises and collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders to determine complex technical specifications from business requirements.

    • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

    • May develop complex test plans and perform testing as needed.

    • May update tables as needed.

    • Provides a complex understanding the business usage of information technology (IT) and helping technology add value to the business.

    • Provides complex technical research and analysis to support business operations needs and presents findings to management or project leader.

    • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

    • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

    • Serves as a mentor and shares knowledge with more junior team members.

    • Using structured requirements process, clearly articulates, documents and validates complex technical requirements.

    What we're looking for:

    Must-haves:

    • 5 7+ Years experience in business systems analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position

    • Experince with Relational Databases such as SQL

    • Working as a Technical Business Analyst in an Agile Environment

    • 4 year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

    Nice-to-haves:

    • Experience with Database Adminsitration

    • AWS cloud experience

    • Insurance or Finance Experience
