    Job Description

    Primary Purpose of Role

    Account Manager responsible for promoting Allison Transmission propulsion solutions to International Programs or North American and U.S. Government Defense customers, cultivating relationships, and ensuring Allison business growth in defense vehicle applications. The Account Manager collaborates with government representatives, OEMs, and internal teammates such as Business Proposals, Contracts, and Finance teams, Defense Engineers, operations and production staffs as well as senior leaders as required to meet customer requirements & achieve Allison growth objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strong analytical and technical skills with specific focus on armored combat vehicle propulsion solutions to inform the Defense Programs staff how to best meet Allison business objectives.

    • Acts as lead, coordinating the work of the cross functional team, in large program (+$100 million per year) capture strategy to provide innovative concepts and recommendations from Concept Devolvement, Design Validation, Production, and Delivery.

    • Mentor and train other Account Managers on capture pricing and strategy development.

    • Manage significant and unique issues or special projects in addition to Account Manager portfolio including working autonomously within established procedures and practices.

    • Support the Allison defense product portfolio technical road map with the Voice of the Customer to inform product sustainment, advanced features, and new product information.

    • Proactively identify, define, and solve complex problems that impact the direction of the business and management decisions that balance risk associated with outcomes.

    • A U.S. based person with the ability to travel on a regular basis.

    Qualifications

    Required :

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • Proven success in driving sales / share growth, customer acquisition &/or retention by working directly with customers and/or channel partners

    Preferred :

    • Masters degree preferred.

    Experience

    Required :

    • 7+ years' experience and has been accountable for enterprise-wide projects and/or processes in the commercial or defense vehicle industry.

    • Experience with electric architectures as the defense market moves toward hybrid vehicle solutions and requirements for electrical power generation.

    • Experienced at interpreting internal or external business issues and making recommendations on solutions / best practices.

    • Value-selling experience

    Preferred :

    • Preferred experience in working with SalesForce CRM
