Looking for an Accounting Professional in a Fortune 500 Company
Strong excel and JD Edwards experience
Accounting Degree
3+ years of experience in accounting
Under general supervision, responsible for the accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and financial reports. This accountant will support tax audits, abandoned and unclaimed property processes, commission and other benefit expenses, and capitalized expense tracking and process development for new launched product. This position will also review, approve, and create journal entries and provide variance provides for monthly balance sheet flux.
Prepare month end close process/journal entry preparation.
Reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts/ledger accounts and identify problems to assist in resolution of issues.
Responsible for certain business transactions understanding the accounting process.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley thru evaluating key internal controls.
Perform monthly variance analysis.
Tax and Legal forecasts, acting as Canada country controller.
