Accounting Clerk

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Franklin Park, Illinois. The role involves various accounting responsibilities in a construction industry setting. You will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, creating purchase orders, processing invoices, performing 3-way match, making collections calls, and assisting with general ledger and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Assist in creating purchase orders and processing invoices

• Perform 3-way match for invoice processing

• Make collections calls to ensure timely payments

• Assist with general ledger and account reconciliation tasks

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Maintain a well-rounded understanding of all accounting functions within the business. Requirements - Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures

• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Previous experience in an accounting role is preferred

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and PowerPoint

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus

• Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
