Description We are in search of a meticulous and analytical Accounting Clerk for our team in Rochester, New York. The role involves managing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and handling customer credit queries. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
Maintain detailed and up-to-date customer credit records
Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner
Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect overdue payments
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of trial balances
Maintain and review general ledger accounts, making necessary adjustments
Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules
Assist in budget preparation and prepare monthly budget variance analysis
Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Use accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks. Requirements - Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation
Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proven ability in Billing and Invoice Processing
Proficiency in Data Entry tasks
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with Oracle and SAP software
Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting purposes
Knowledge of SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) Software
Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and accuracy
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
