Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in our manufacturing industry based in DAYTON, Oregon. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, maintaining vendor relationships, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoice accuracy, coding expenses to the appropriate accounts, and obtaining approvals for payment.

• Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

• Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.

• Maintain organized electronic and physical records of invoices, payments, and other financial documents.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparing accruals, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports as needed.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Microsoft Excel, 3 Way Matching, and Navision as part of daily tasks.

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups

• Experience with 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.

• Knowledge of accounting software.

• Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal departments.

• Ability to maintain accurate and complete financial records.

• Understanding of basic accounting principles and regulatory standards.

• High attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
