    POSITION DETAILS

    The Center for Teaching and Learning advocates for and supports instructional excellence across Baruch College's three schools. The CTL also houses and furthers the work of the Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute. Reporting to the CTL Senior Director, and in close collaboration with other CTL leadership, the Program Coordinator operationalizes all aspects of student support services and contributes to curriculum development to support academic departments in the delivery of inclusive, active, communication-intensive learning environments.

    Key responsibilities include

    • Oversee and lead the semesterly process of building schedules for in-class workshops and outside-of-class supplemental support and manage changes to schedules as needed.

    • Oversee and lead the semesterly process of writing work portfolio letters for staff overviewing their student support responsibilities and related projects.

    • Oversee all student-facing and staff-facing communications related to student support services.

    • Support the Administrative Coordinator and other support staff in building and maintaining schedules on the student-facing scheduler.

    • Track utilization and analyze utilization trends to inform future programming.

    • Support the unit's operations more broadly by, with the Administrative Coordinator, overseeing purchasing and physical space management.

    • Collaborate with faculty and the Directors to continually refine course support programming and identify new opportunities.

    • Participate in delivering student support services to ensure on-the-ground understanding of curriculum, student and faculty needs, staff experience, and prepare for continual process improvement.

    • Support the team of part-time staff in their capacity to deliver excellent workshops and supplemental support services by providing regular training and ad hoc consulting as needed.

    • Contribute to assessment of our course-embedded partnerships to demonstrate efficacy or identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Create and contribute to the creation of external reporting, both oral and written, that communicates with a large community of diverse stakeholders the status and outcomes of BLSCI-supported course partnerships.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's Degree required.

    • Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.

    • Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.

    • Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.

    • Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.

    • May supervise office staff and student workers.

    • Performs related duties as assigned.

    $65,946- $75,131; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
