    Full compensation for this role is $56,500-$84,700 plus annual bonus and benefits.

    Position Summary: As an Advanced Equipment Technician, you will operate and maintain the lyophilization equipment on-site as well as perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance on equipment. You will also be responsible to repair any malfunctioning equipment as needed. In order to effectively meet these objectives, you will be responsible for planning your work schedule based on the priorities of the lyophilization schedule, assigned work orders and calendar of routine tasks.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Maintain and operate lyophilization and filling equipment.

    • Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on mid-range equipment

    • Perform single point calibration of moderate complexity

    • Perform moderate repairs to malfunctioning equipment per work orders

    • Perform routine inspection of equipment

    • Install new and existing equipment

    • Routinely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks

    • Provide assistance and training to Equipment Technicians as needed

    • Follow guidelines and comply with all company safety, quality, and training procedures and regulations

    • Update and write department-specific SOP's

    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience :

    • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of relevant experience

    • Or, Technical or Associate degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience

    • Prior experience operating material handling equipment is required

    • Prior experience with biotechnology and HVAC equipment is preferred

    • Prior experience with Smartsheets is preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

    • Knowledge of moderately complex equipment troubleshooting and strong mechanical aptitude

    • Ability to stand 6-8+ hours during a shift

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

    • Ability to use basic hand and power tools

    • Ability to work extended hours (evenings/weekends) as needed

    • Ability to work outside as needed

    • Ability to travel to and work at off-site Bio-Techne locations as needed

    • Ability to effectively problem solve

    • Ability to work effectively with computers and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Must work well both independently and in a team environment

    • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple different demands

    • Strong verbal and communication skills, including the ability to mentor others
