    Team Overview

    The role sits in Aladdin Data within Data Client Services, which is a centralized client support group who are responsible for supporting BlackRock Internal user services that covers Aladdin data of fixed income, equity, and alternatives products. We tackle sophisticated problems in FinTech. We utilize our in-depth understanding of Aladdin and the investment management process to provide world-class customer service to our rapidly growing, global client base.

    Role Responsibility

    • Support client/user requests related to the Green Package analytics. Answer client's investment related questions, e.g. VaR, Tracking Error, Risk models, Understand client's nuance

    • Have a good understanding of Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives and Alternatives products and how they are modeled and traded in Aladdin.

    • Build strong working relationships with portfolio and risk managers, financial modelling group and different analytics teams while communicating and explaining Aladdin and Green Package capabilities to internal clients

    • Engage in meetings with end-users of the Green Package product from all levels within the company from Portfolio and Risk Managers to Operations teams.

    • Use technology to solve problems - we will teach you the skills you need to succeed, such as maneuvering databases.

    • Project work: engaging with other internal teams to think creatively and deliver innovative solutions to our complex client demands.

    • Constantly evaluate systems, processes, and procedures for inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvement.

    • Be a 'Student of the Markets' by following the global markets on a daily basis to understand how macro-economic factors can affect the Green Package analytics and portfolios management's risk and investment decisions.

    • Work on a global team, with a local presence - you will get to work with teams across the world, while still engaging with a vibrant local team

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Finance, Engineering or Technology would be preferred

    • Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking skills and an ability to identify problems, design and articulate solutions and implement changes

    • Prior experience in an investment management firm is a plus

    • Knowledge of financial products in Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives, and familiarity with Risk analytics such as Durations, Spreads, Beta and VaR is a plus

    • Demonstrated technical ability to use SQL, UNIX and/or programming languages like Python

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Must be detail orientated and possess initiative

    • Demonstrated success in a high-paced environment
