Assistant Controller

HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE - FAST GROWING ORGANIZATION -

A well-respected services company is collaborating with Robert Half to help them find an accomplished Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will collaborate with the Controller to supervise the accounting staff. In this Assistant Controller role, you will utilize your problem-solving skills by taking initiative to identity and resolve problems. Submit an application today! Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting team during the closing process to make sure deadlines are met

• Guarantee regular account reconciliation to completion

• Encourage accountability and the meeting of deliverables

• Develop an assortment of policies, technical accounting analyses, and procedures

• Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits

• Partake in the preparation of GAAP financial statements

• Back implementation and make sure adherence to accounting policies and procedures

• Promote to ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, development, and goal setting

• Other duties as requested

• Define and flourish process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency

• Examine and build Ad Hoc financial reports

• Backfill for Controller as appropriate

• Make relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, the monthly flash report, and key financial metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• 5+ years of accounting experience - at least 2 years of supervisory/management experience -

• Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

• Deep technical background in public accounting (GAAP)

• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

• Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
