The Obstetrics/Post-Partum department at St. Anthony North Health Campus has 12 LDRP rooms and three triage rooms with between 60-100 births per month. We love to deliver babies! We are a Level I facility, meaning we deliver 36 weeks and above. We are located right off the highway and receive preterm/high risk patients. Our goal is to transfer the mom prior to delivery to prevent separation of the couplet. This isn't possible in every case, so we stabilize and transport both mom and baby separately following delivery. We are a LDRP unit with ED, Peri-Op, OR, PACU and antepartum capabilities. We care for low-risk pregnancies and couplets. We also have a mix of high-risk births occasionally and sometimes receive GYN overflow from med-surg. We strive to be a thriving OB unit within this growing community.

We have a very strong team that works well together. A home away from home culture. We are very supportive of one another and very passionate about what we do. We have such a tough unit with so many different parts that there are always opportunities for education or to expand your role and have a flexible self-scheduling process. We are looking for strong, confident nurses who aren't timid and can advocate for our patients if necessary. Candidates must be flexible, have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

We have a 5 bed level 2 NICU. We keep 32 weeks and above, however, with being located right off I-25 we see all gestations. Envision is our Neonatologist/APP group. The APP (NNP/PA/Pediatric hospitalist) is in house 24/7 and the Neo rounds daily but is OC if needed at any time. Our unit is unique because all of our NICU nurses function in the transition and postpartum role. This allows for a very cohesive and close team! We staff two NICU RNs on every shift. If we have zero babies in the NICU we still have one NICU RN in house. If we have even one NICU baby then both are in house. Typical NICU assignment is 1-3 babies per nurse. Postpartum 1-3 couplets and transition is catching and transitioning babies after delivery. We will thoroughly train you and make sure you are comfortable and competent!
