Responsibilities The cheese and dairy categories are highly promoted with the largest investment of the company in trade dollars to support our customers. This position is critical to company success by evaluating and recommending the most effective use of that investment. The role handles the preparation and analysis of all financial aspects of Crystal Farms promotional activities. The individual will report into the Assoc Director of FP&A and will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Trade, Procurement and Operations to provide analytics and insights to influence smart business decisions. In addition, this individual will play a key role in the annual planning, monthly forecasting, variance analysis and the development of executive materials to communicate performance. This role will gain direct visibility and participate with the CFO and other executive team members. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide and develop tools, customized reporting, and recommendations in support of ongoing business decisions or initiatives. Utilize ROI, trending, forecasting, and risk identification and mitigation tools as appropriate. - Actively work with cross-functional team members in sales and marketing to evaluate customer and brand sales results. - Provide recommendations and lead decisions regarding trade and other investment vehicles. - Proactively manage product margin at the customer level and identify variances, trends, and action plans. - Develop analytical skills, tools, and processes to keep up with the rapidly evolving trade spend management. Use these findings to enhance trade spend efficiency. - Evaluate sales and promotional data to understand 1) performance against industry benchmarks, 2) competitive actions and their impact, and 3) economic conditions and the effect on consumers. - Lead innovation and standardization in reporting and forecasting processes, tools, and analysis. - Special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. - Excellent oral and written communication skills: ability to convey complex information to internal business partners and executive leadership with differing levels of subject matter expertise. - Bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in finance/accounting or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. MBA preferred - +8 years' experience in financial analysis, planning, forecasting and revenue. - CPG industry experience preferred. - Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects' critical path towards business deliverables, under tight deadlines. Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous data requests of varying size and scope. - Initiative-taking team player who values organizational success and enjoys finding the right answer in a collaborative process, open to debate, and comfortable in active discussion. - Demonstrated mastery skills in Excel and other MS applications.
