    What you'll be doing:

    • The Project Management team turns concepts and ideas for products into reality. They utilize expertise in project management, communication, risk mitigation, resource and timeline management to lead a cross-functional team through the define, development and launch phases of new product development projects, specification change projects, resourcing projects, and repackaging projects.

    • They are accountable for delivering the product & project requirements on time while meeting our cost and quality targets. Simply put, they are our in-house project management experts related to our Staples Brands Group products.

    • The Associate Manager independently owns the development of the project timeline and the management of projects with a cross functional business team through the define, development and launch phases of new product development projects, specification change projects, resourcing projects, and repackaging projects, while ensuring adherence to project timelines.

    • The Associate Manager is the expert on project management, timeline development, the product development process, communication, and risk mitigation.

    • Concurrently manage multiple complex product development projects being responsible for the creation of the project timeline, all communication, time management, and risk mitigation related to each project.

    • Ensure delivery of projects through the define, development and launch phases which meet timing, cost, and quality targets, while exceeding customer expectations.

    • Facilitate internal cross-functional project status meetings for assigned categories with Product Engineering, Sourcing, Category Development, Merchandising, Inventory, Logistics, and Quality.

    • Present assigned projects in toll gate meetings to the SBG senior leadership team for approval at the end of each phase.

    • Be a proactive contributor in the growth of the project management discipline on the SBG team.

    • Share learnings with other project managers, train new and/or junior project managers and as requested support the PMO in the design and implementation of new processes and process improvements.

    • Maintain project schedules and project data in the PLM system.

    • Values continuous improvement and enjoys identifying new methods and ways to improve current processes.

    What's needed- Basic Qualifications:

    • 4+ years of experience effectively managing projects in product development, sourcing, or manufacturing disciplines in cross-functional environments. Experience managing projects as part of a global team a plus.

    What's needed- Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree. Engineering, Business, or relevant technical degree preferred.

    • Experience working in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool creating and maintaining project schedules and project data. Knowledge of Enovia is a plus.

    • PMP certification is a plus.
