    Expected salary range of $56,700 to $63,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

    Position Summary:

    The Associate Staff Accountant position at Constellation Home is part of an extremely fast paced and growing service company. For this reason, the candidate should be highly motivated with strong accounting skills to perform a variety of accounting assignments. The candidate will perform general accounting functions such as journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and accounts payable.

    Position Scope:

    • Support and participate in the monthly financial statement close process by preparing standard journal entries, adjusting journal entries and month-end accruals.

    • Adhere to and sustain aggressive 5-day monthly closing schedule.

    • Prepare, review and analyze account reconciliations.

    • Perform a variety of accounting functions including, but not limited to commission preparation and monthly labor distribution.

    • Perform accounts payable functions including, but not limited to processing invoices using 3-way match and weekly check runs.

    • Work closely with other departments such as procurement and warehouse to research invoice issues

    • Document and maintain current procedures.

    • Assist, as needed, in special projects.

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Strong research skills as it relates to purchasing, receiving and payment for purchased material.

    • Strong Excel skills using Pivot tables and VLookup functionsAble to work independently or with teams on projects

    • Good written and oral communication skills.

    • Strong interpersonal skills.

    • Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple assignments simultaneously.

    • Able to work under tight close deadlines.

    Experience/Education:

    • Associate's Degree in Accounting, or a related discipline

    • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience - preferably in the service industry

    • Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of Accounting theory, principles, practices and regulations including FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance

    • Demonstrated experience with journal entries and accounts payable

    • Demonstrated problem solving skills

    • Knowledge of MS Great Plains preferred
