    BPC Support Consultant - LONG Contract through February 2024!

    Summary Description

    This individual will be a vital asset in the success of closing the monthly books for the company. You will utilize the SAP BPC, the official financial consolidation system that provides various levels of financial reporting data. This work role is to ensure that all BPC consolidation activities are done accurately and timely during closing on a monthly and quarterly basis.

    • Learn the functionality of BPC including running key processes in the system

    • Lead and serve as the consolidations system administrator for the BPC financial reporting tool and ad-hoc analyses

    • Maintain an efficient monthly closing and consolidation process across all legal entities

    • Run month-end back feeds from BPC to GCAP as required during closing period, including the "pull-in" of new data elements

    • Ensure consistency of SAP-BPC master data, transaction data and dimensions, and conduct periodic BPC validations

    • Identify issues and errors with BPC data and propose solutions as needed

    • Coordinate with the broader consolidations team to ensure that BPC data is accurately reflected during a given closing period

    • Work with IT and external consultants to troubleshoot or resolve system issues

    • Maintain transformation and conversion files, data manager packages, package links, and manage deltas for BPC loads of actual data from internal systems to BPC, as well as BPC to internal systems

    • Understand updates to BPC financial reporting tool including system administration, maintenance of key retrieval templates and system reporting structures, new report creation, user security access, and new user training documentation

    • Perform profit center hierarchy maintenance based on business requirements across all financial systems including GCAP/HMF, BPC, SAP, BODS mapping table, etc.

    • Perform legal entity maintenance in CTF system, including official legal entity names, addresses, consolidation method, and ownership percentages based on legal requirements

    • Coordinate requests for profit center hierarchy additions and changes, as well as legal entity additions and changes as part of Master Data Governance role

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

    • 4+ year progressive experience in a large corporate environment - required

    • Knowledge of SAP BPC is required!

    • Position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task, and proficiency in the use of systems, including Microsoft suite of applications (Excel, etc.) and SAP applications

    • Proven ability to learn and navigate a complex IT system

    • Ability to navigate through difficult situations including working with others in a global organization

    • Candidate must be self-managed and self-motivated with the ability to organize time and efforts to meet deadlines

    • Ability to work overtime during the close process as needed

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Works well in team environment with an ability to interact at all levels of organization

    Travel Requirements: As needed to meet service-level requirements and for required business meetings

    Salary range $40-$50/hr (or day) W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
