Business Analyst

Looking for a IT Business Analyst. Must be local to Chicago (hybrid)

Must Have experience in financial services or banking.

This role is responsible for capturing and supporting delivery of business and/or system requirements (based on specialization) to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, capture their requirements, perform impact analysis, and then working closely with the Development Team(s) to refine the requirements into specifications that can be executed by the team. Individuals in this role possess a working knowledge of the business/technical domain and the main applications within that domain.

• 3+ years experience as a Technical Business Analyst gathering and documenting requirements

• Extensive experience working with SQL

• Exceptional Excel experience - Formulas, Pivot tables, V-look up, etc.

• Experience with Agile and Waterfall.

• Utilize issue tracking system (JIRA) daily.

• Provide feedback to the clients and technology managers.

• Participate in daily support triage meetings and other regular meetings as required

• Participate in documentation of support processes and methods

• 3 years of experience writing SQL queries

• Strong data analysis skills

• Experience gathering and documenting requirements

• Strong oral and written communications skills

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

• Strong facilitation skills

• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel

• Extreme attention to detail

• Experience within a customer or technical support environment

• Exemplary professional demeanor, resourcefulness, flexibility, and self-motivation

• Advanced judgment and problem solving skills

• Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high stress/fast paced work environment

• Proven data driven decision-making skills

• Familiarity with writing technical process and procedure documents

• Experience with PowerPoint documents / data points and built process / procedures from these documents.

• Experience working with a complicated environment and worked with a new program.
