Cardiac Sonographer

Position Summary

Responsible for delivery of appropriate cardiology services in a timely and courteous manner, i.e. Echo, EKG, TEE, Stress testing, monitors. Participates in patient/family teaching and works cooperatively with other team members to meet patients' needs.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.

• CPR certification required.

• ACLS certification is required within 8 months of hire.

• Must be able to demonstrate clinical competence in performing echocardiography, TEE, and stress echo. Must know pediatrics or be willing to learn.

• Must have accreditation in sonography or acquire it within one year of hire.
