About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a CIB Environmental and Social Impact Management (ESIM) -VP
In this role, you will:
Independently perform E&S due diligence across various thematic areas including but not limited to: ecosystem & biodiversity, human rights, impacts on indigenous peoples, supply chain, environmental justice litigation, climate risks/GHG emissions, community impacts/stakeholder engagement, E&S issues related to commercial real estate, project finance related E&S due diligence and associated reputation risks
Support the reputation risk escalation process related to ESIM and project related E&S matters
Support training on E&S due diligence across CIB
Engage with front line globally, where required, to complete E&S due diligence
Engage with internal subject matter experts, including IRM/oversight, legal, Sustainability, government relations, corporate communications, CRO team and control executive, when necessary
Support internal activities relating to E&S due diligence, including researching and documenting emerging & evolving trends in E&S due diligence, sustainability related regulations across regions and reviewing E&S related new business initiatives/products
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of CIB's functional area and products
Prepare reporting documentation related to the implementation of the ESIM policy for CIB
Maintain internal systems of records and workflow tools related to the CIB Reputation and ESIM Program
Required Qualifications:

Years of experience: 5+ years in a relevant environmental and social risk / sustainability role in banking or consulting
Advanced knowledge and understanding of environmental and social issues across various industries and sectors
University degree in a relevant field (e.g. environmental sciences or policy, sustainability, human rights, supply chain management, law, earth sciences/climate risk, development economics)
Demonstrated ability to perform robust E&S due diligence, including project related E&S due diligence (for example Equator Principles, IFC Performance Standards or similar industry aligned best practice due diligence)
Robust understanding of CIB's functional area and products
Strong client and commercial focus
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, working across various global functions
Excellent research & analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly, accurately and succinctly (both written and verbally)
Knowledge and understanding of the Equator Principles, IFC Performance Standards and other industry & sector aligned sustainability initiatives
Proficiency in Excel, large datasets and other third party sources (ex: MSCI, Sutainalytics, RepRisk etc)
Ability to perform research independently and draft high quality assessments, presentations and internal documentation
