    The Opportunity

    The Paperboard Claims Team Manager will provide leadership to the team handling claims processing for paperboard mill products. This is a working leader role; the individual will be responsible for supervising a team of claims analysts who process all Paperboard claims while also having some responsibility for the processing of claims. In this position, you will work closely with the Containerboard Claims Manager as we align the claims process under a "One WestRock" operating process, building a culture of accountability and excellence.

    How you will impact WestRock

    • Lead the claims department for the paperboard mill grade lines.

    • Monitor activities to ensure performance measures relating to customer satisfaction are met.

    • Monitor workflow of complaint and activity to ensure timely completion and follow-up.

    • Evaluate complaint to determine validity, cause, and responsible department. This includes determining compensation due and if product is to be returned.

    • Data gathering, analysis and reporting.

    • Participate in continuous improvement activities geared at aligning claims process under a "One WestRock" operating process.

    • Claims system administrator

    • Maintain Sarbanes Oxley compliance

    • Deploy streamlined process for claims resolution.

    • Deploy claims process that reinforces mill ownership of customer claims, while providing as much administrative support as possible.

    • Work with key stakeholders including mill quality teams, and sales to ensure customer claims are adequately investigated, documented, and responded to.

    What you need to succeed

    • Business degree preferred.

    • Minimum 7-10 years experience in quality, claims, or customer service

    • Strong business acumen.

    • Attention to detail.

    • Ability to effectively multi-task

    • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel specifically), with SAP experience a plus

    • Flexibility for occasional travel

    • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
