    Our Behavioral Health Center is looking to add a Clinical Manager to our dedicated team. As a Clinical Manager, you have the opportunity to change what inpatient behavioral healthcare looks like for Cleveland Clinic. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Working in collaboration with other departments and external organizations to develop, implement, and monitor community outreach activities.

    • Supervising behavioral counseling staff for special clinical sections.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide supervision of the clinical and support staff. Interviews, hires, and trains staff; evaluates performance and provides feedback; makes personnel action recommendations (e.g. promotions, transfers, disciplinary, discharge).

    • Work with appropriate clinical staff to develop, implement, and coordinate community outreach programs and activities. Monitors ongoing communications with referral sources regarding programs.

    • Ensures patients have access to services within 24 hours. Provides patient access related financial counseling to help patients get the services they need.

    • Responsible for the business office aspects of the practice and ensuring billing compliance.

    • Provides data to quality improvement, program evaluation, and utilization review functions. Collect data regarding expectations and outcomes related to patient access.

    • Coordinates and participates in all Joint Commission site surveys and/or report submissions necessary to comply for the requirements of regulatory, accrediting, or funding agencies with direct relationships.

    • Provides input regarding policies and procedures necessary for consistent and effective operation.

    • Manages daily operations related to adequate coverage, cross training, and fielding patient and ombudsman's needs.

    • Assists Administrative Director in monitoring statistical and financial activities of the section.

    • Develops, implements and monitors ongoing process improvement activities.

    • Provides clinical expertise to team in the evaluation and treatment of patients.

    • Serves as primary resource for employee engagement activities, identification of staffing ratios across sites and to match evolving clinical needs.

    • This is a working manager position and requires a combination of patient care and supervisory responsibilities.

    • Ensures that the direct treatment activities of the program are scheduled, coordinated and carried out by treatment staff in a manner consistent with program standards, guidelines and client needs.

    • Ensures that the all statistical records and client charts and treatment records are adequate, accurate, and up-to-date and that required reports are forwarded to the Administrative Director.

    • Maintains manual of policies and procedures for day-to-day program operation in compliance with all governmental and hospital regulations and policies.

    • Participates in weekly multidisciplinary case conferences to evaluate client treatment progress. Provides input regarding the revision of treatment plans as well as discharge / aftercare plans, and works with counselors to correct deficiencies.

    • Conducts regularly scheduled individual and/or group supervision sessions to all clinical staff and other assigned staff members in order to consult and instruct staff in the development of their diagnostic and clinical skill. Documents what occurred during supervision sessions and documents progress with supervision goals.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Follows Hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.

    • Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.

    E ducation:

    • Master's Degree required in related field of social work, clinical counseling, chemical dependency counseling or psychology.

    Languages:

    Certifications:

    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or

    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or

    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

    • no record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports

    Complexity of Work:

    • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work autonomously.

    • Must be able to work in a challenging environment and take appropriate action.

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum experience of five (5) years as a therapist or counselor.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer based tasks to maintain regulatory standards of documentation.

    • Physical strength to maneuver patients in wheelchairs from lobby to evaluation area.

    • Requires frequent and standing and walking.

    • Normal or correct vision, hearing, and speech.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
