Description
Bunzl North America (BNA) is a leading distributor of packaging, processor supplies and safety products. BNA is focused on adapting to the changing needs for product compliance for all of the products that we sell and ensuring that we have staff to support these requirements. The Compliance Project Manager will be responsible for working with the Compliance Business Leads to develop a roadmap for compliance initiatives and for delivering these initiatives for BNA.
This position is an assignment and can last up to twelve (12) months.
Responsibilities:
Focus on delivery of business outcomes in sometimes chaotic circumstances
Determine appropriate stakeholders and drive buy-in and decisions
Assess impact to projects as events occur and take necessary action to preserve delivery success
Experience taking a required outcome and breaking it down into sequenced component activities that will achieve the result (ie. Project planning or roadmapping)
Experience with providing balanced status reporting that will encourage the correct activities from stakeholders
Facilitate meetings and keep a cadence that keeps the project moving forward
Teach and uphold IT processes to all parties and ensure that the process is followed by all involved. Must be the voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls
Coach team toward self-organization
Work closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are properly and fully defined prior to next phase/iteration/sprint
Hold teams accountable for meeting commitments
Motivate team to achieve team goals
Work with product owners, managers and the development team (including architects, testers, etc.) to evolve the organization while completing deliverables
Lead a team to increase their productivity (velocity) while reducing defects for the organization collectively
Facilitate the roles within the organization to work efficiently, effectively and together
Work with the IT team to help identify and resolve impediments and barriers
Work closely with the Product Owners, Management and stakeholders on all active projects
Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team
Requirement:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelor's degree Business Administration or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager highly preferred
Experience delivering projects in a product compliance organization and understanding of the critical aspects of product compliance processes
Experience with finance or audit processes and projects is a plus
Understanding of data cleaning techniques and processes
Understanding of waterfall and agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem solving skills
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-direction, and ability to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality, results driven, team-oriented environment
Must have the ability to lead by influence, not by authority
