    The Cost Accountant provides financial planning and analysis support for Evacuation Systems business. Ideal candidate will be able to work independently and take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvements as well as support ad hoc requests. We are looking for a candidate with excellent analytical and communications skills, and ability to interact well with various organizational functions and personnel at all levels.

    This position is a hybrid role in Phoenix, AZ. Current expectations would be to work onsite 3-4 days per week. However, the amount of onsite days per week could fluctuate and is flexible depending on business needs. This position may be eligible for relocation

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Focus on cost accounting

    • Support the month end closing and reconciliations

    • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of data

    • Support the organization through various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual routines including the following: Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Monthly Operation Reviews and Balance Sheet Reviews

    • Support Profit Assurance reviews

    • Meet critical deadlines while multitasking and managing workload requirements

    • Communicate on a regular basis with Evac leadership and support functions, and provide finance support as needed

    • Reviewing monthly OH budget expenses to ensure proper accounting and adherence to budget

    • Support the continued implementation of the ACE operating system

    • AdHoc support as needed

    Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

    • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

    • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required - ~~~

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • BA/BS in Business/Economics/Finance or Accounting

    • Background in costing in a manufacturing environment

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Power Point)

    • SAP experience is a plus!

    • Self-starter with the ability to manage concurrent assignments, function in time sensitive situations

    • Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvements as well as support ad hoc requests

    • Excellent analytical and communications skills, and ability to interact well with various organizational functions and personnel at all levels

    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
