    We are offering an opportunity for a Cost Accountant in Riverside, California. This role involves managing and analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization. The job function will be situated within the manufacturing industry and the successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for analyzing manufacturing cost systems and providing detailed reports to the management team.

    • Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide recommendations to influence the company's strategic direction.

    • Interact and communicate effectively with individuals across all levels of the organization.

    • Proficiently use Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for financial reporting and analysis.

    • Utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP, to streamline and automate financial management.

    • Apply knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial analysis to drive the company's financial planning.

    • Conduct annual physical inventory and manage the month-end close process.

    • Implement budgeting and forecasting plans to align with the company's financial goals.

    • Develop and maintain internal control measures to ensure accuracy of financial data.

    • Ensure confidentiality of personnel and payroll information.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

    • 2+ years of manufacturing experience

    • Strong analytical skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Requirements - Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Cost Accounting

    • Proficiency in Cost Analysis and Manufacturing Cost Accounting is required

    • Knowledge of SAP and Financial Reporting is essential

    • Experience with Annual Physical Inventory and Month End Close procedures is expected

    • Should have skills in Budgeting and Forecasting

    • Familiarity with Internal Control and Analysis is beneficial

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

    • Professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
