    We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the wholesale distribution industry. The position is located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and will involve onsite work initially, transitioning to a hybrid model after training.

    Call center experience is a must!

    Responsibilities

    • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone calls, emails, and chat

    • Manage customer inquiries timely, providing exceptional customer service

    • Troubleshoot basic customer issues, including product knowledge and recommendations

    • Respond to written customer correspondence

    • Maintain detailed knowledge of all products and procedures to provide top-notch customer service

    • Document all customer service interactions comprehensively

    • Collaborate with team members and vendor partners to deliver industry-leading customer service

    • Use Outlook and other tools such as Word, Excel, MS Teams, and Salesforce to manage your work and collaborate with others

    • Be prepared to work overtime during high call volume periods

    Requirements - Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a call center environment

    • Demonstrated ability to deliver superior customer service and maintain customer satisfaction

    • Strong understanding of customer experience management and customer success management principles

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult customers with patience and professionalism

    • Familiarity with customer support software, databases and tools

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, managing multiple tasks at once

    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and provide quick and effective solutions

    • Ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional customer service

    • Availability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed

    • Proficiency in using computers, with a fast and accurate typing speed

    • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all customer interactions are accurately logged and followed up on

    • Ability to handle confidential customer information with discretion and integrity

    • Willingness to participate in ongoing training to improve skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
