Data Technician/Admin

Job Description

A top Automotive client is looking to hire a Data Technician r to join their Simulation Engineering Team to support their Digital Factory initiatives. This resource will be primarily supporting new and existing model data in AutoCAD being converted into a digital engineering environment. They will also be responsible for various specialized tasks for tracking and supporting project and assembly instructions in SharePoint. Below is the day-to-day

SharePoint

• Updating team SharePoint site

• Training & Documentation for other members to support use and administer the SharePoint sites

CAD Data Handling

• New and existing model data format conversion for use in Digital Engineering (DE) environment (Catia)

• Master Project data management (maintaining latest current production model assembly data from PDM system) and tracking.

• Completing data synchronization request procedure and maintaining a strong relationship / communication with our overseas counterparts

• Maintaining digital library/database for specific materials, facilities, or production volume

Specialized Tasks

• Updating assembly instructions for specific projects

• Performing cross-reference checks for equipment ID numbers and their information within the 3D environment (Delmia)

Skills and Requirements

• Experience using 3D environment software (CATIA, Delmia, or 3DX preferred)

• 3-5 years of SharePoint Experience

• Ability to read and interpret designs in AutoCAD or CATIA

• Plant and Process management expertise * Experience working with 3DExperience

• Ability to integrate data and designs into Delmia

• Mass Production experience
