Job Title: WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Job Duties:

Warehouse Supervisor oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of parts, and picking, packing and distribution activity. The incumbent plans the arrangement of parts within the warehouse, maintains computerized administration, storage and retrieval systems, and ensures productivity targets are met.

Warehouse Supervisor coordinates teams of workers and deals with personnel issues such as recruitment, training and discipline of staff. Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and stock. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

1. Oversees Warehouse activity 35%

Supervises and reviews the daily organization and operations of the warehouse, ensuring that the warehouse is fully capable and functional in its layout and capacity to adequately support the material needs for Production, Service, Customer orders, Stock Transfers, and others. Supervises stocking of parts to support production, service and customer orders, timely delivery of parts to the shop, oversees preparation for shipments of items as required, and preparation of materials for disposal as required. Provide continual evaluation of processes/procedures and suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency, and customer service.

1. Receipt and Storage of Materials of Incoming Parts 35%

The incumbent supervises the receipt of incoming parts shipments, ensures that materials in the warehouse are counted, inspected, stored properly, and cared for through general material handling and warehousing principles. Supervises and participates in the accomplishment of Inventory Cycle Counts and Physical Inventories, Root Cause Analysis and Accuracy. Ensures restocking of received items is accomplished in timely manner - 3 days maximum for all shipments.

1. Shipping of Materials 10%

Supervises the packaging of parts for interplant stock transfer, completion of required documentation to support shipping of materials, packaging and shipping of complete unit, or spare parts to customer. Orders supplies when required.

1. Personnel training and work schedule 15%

Arranges schedules regular training and retraining of warehouse personnel. Conduct On-the-Job training as necessary to maintain personnel proficiency in warehouse operations. Schedule vacations, time off, and overtime for Warehouse, Shipping-Receiving Personnel, solve personnel issues as required. This role also involves assessing the performance of employees on an ongoing basis and providing feedback to employees accordingly to maximize performance and providing input on employee performance to the Plant Manager for the purposes of completion of the annual performance appraisal.

1. Maintenance 5%

Ensures housekeeping is kept by all warehouse and shipping-receiving personnel; supervises and participates in maintaining clean and organized warehouse-shipping-receiving areas as well as any point-of-use inventory storage areas. The incumbent also organizes scrap, and garbage pick-up, and oversees the

planned maintenance of machinery and equipment within the warehouse. Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe work practices are followed in Warehouse and Shipping areas.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. 3+ years of warehouse supervisor experience

2. Experience with Shipping and Receiving (Deadlines, Freight, Transportation)

3. External forklift license

Location: Brampton, Ontario

Shift:

• Day Shift

• 8:00 to 4:30PM

• Monday to Friday

Pay: TBD - Based on experince - Salary range between $65,000 to $70,000
