Our Thermo King dealer network is a distinguishing factor in the competitive transport refrigeration landscape, and successful dealers are key to the Thermo King brand's success. In this role, Dealer Development Manager will partner with our dealers to build an accountable, performance, and a lean operations dealer culture that drives increased sales, implements best practices and delivers an outstanding customer experience in alignment with Thermo King's strategic imperatives and growth plans.

    This is a Remote position with potential of 70% travel.

    Responsibilities:

    • Managing dealer relationships, influencing and partnering with regional sales to build relationship with dealer principals and Thermo King within their specified region

    • Coach dealer "lean champions" to grow Operational Excellence (OpEx) knowledge and successfully execute RIE's, A3's, JDI's, and change management capabilities

    • Works with Thermo King training to develop and deliver programs to teach dealerships on lean tools and concepts such as A3/A4 management, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping, visual management, and 5S.

    • Analyzing regional dealer financial data and operational metrics and proactively working with both dealer management teams and Thermo King colleagues to ensure positive business results

    • Gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) to develop core dealer sales and service competencies to help establish strategy, then, identifying dealer specific gaps and coordinating field discussions on improvement or performance management

    • Managing regional dealer contracts and succession plans

    • Monitoring and improving regional dealer scorecard and related metrics

    • Improving and implementing processes to on-board, improve and terminate dealers

    • Developing and implementing bonus programs across regions

    • Aligning internal and external stakeholders through effective communications and change management

    • Actively participate in Dealer Advisory Council projects

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, we will consider qualified, relevant experience.

    • 7+ years of experience required with a preferred focus in dealership management, sales and/or service operations.

    • Lean and continuous improvement-based tools/techniques knowledge highly preferred, including Lean and SixSigma.

    • Ability to generate and analyze data highly preferred.

    • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and prioritizing work in accordance with business needs.

    • Engrained customer focus partnered with a continuous improvement mentality.

    • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including within a dealership, and to handle sensitive and/or emotional topics.

    • Effectively manage travel requirements - approximately 70% travel.

    Base Pay Range: $120,550 - 159,950

    Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
