    What you'll do...

    Director, Product Marketing - Sam's Club MAP

    As the Director of Product Marketing, you'll report to the Head of Marketing, managing a team of Product Marketers in devising go-to-market strategies and marketing MAP's product portfolio. Working with Product, Engineering, Sales, and API/AdTech partners, you'll influence the product roadmap and support in achieving revenue goals.

    We're seeking a leader with a firm grasp of the Retail Media industry and digital media landscape, able to establish product strategies and launching new products. You will have experience in advertising, with an understanding of the AdTech ecosystem, including display and search advertising, programmatic, DSPs, ad agencies, video, creative, and eCommerce.

    What you'll do:

    • As a product expert, you'll spearhead the Product Marketing strategy for our products, guide continuous improvements, oversee the adoption of new technology, and bolster digital change aligned with Sam's Club's business model.

    • You will lead the Product Marketing team and manage 4 direct reports.

    • Create a system to organize different product lines and establish organizational best practices for product strategies.

    • Predict future trends and developments while providing expertise with advertisers and internal partners.

    • Partner with MAP leadership, Operations, and training teams to design training programs for products to up-skill the broader organization on MAP's product portfolio and platforms.

    • Drive the planning of new product launches at various life cycles including alphas, betas, and general availability stages.

    • Conduct, aggregate, and analyze research and trends, turning insights into action.

    • Compare alternative strategies to accelerating product sales; conduct market climate surveys and determine implications for business units.

    • Be the advocate and voice of the customer by using primary and secondary insights research to get an in-depth understanding of our customer segments and markets.

    • Define metrics to measure the performance of your team while fostering an environment that supports learning, career development, and new ideas - especially as it relates to promoting our products externally.

    • Lead business initiatives and encourage team members to cultivate relationships across the business; facilitate team thinking and brainstorming activities to collectively create and share ideas.

    What you'll bring:

    • 10+ years' work experience in advertising industry with focus in B2B marketing or eCommerce.

    • Minimum 5 years of people leadership, including experience hiring and developing a team.

    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

    • Expertise in product marketing and industry tools, with experience in keyword bidding strategies, budget management and optimization.

    • Track record using analytic and quantitative data to develop scalable media strategies, validate and measure search performance, and deliver actionable insights.

    • Comfortable with direct client interaction, including presentations, with the ability to translate technical concepts into client-friendly language.

    • Expertise in the AdTech, Martech, and related technology ecosystem including digital media, SaaS, and agencies.

    • Understanding of search advertising, API and agency partners, DSPs, audience targeting, keyword targeting, and optimization used by advertisers and brands.

    • Experience forming relationships and partner with cross-functional teams for agreement and execution across product management, marketing, and sales teams.

    The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
