As a Director Program Management Office, Defense and Space here at Honeywell Aero, you will be responsible for overseeing the program management office and ensuring the successful execution of defense and space programs. Your strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in delivering successful outcomes for Honeywell's defense and space initiatives. You will report directly to our VP of Program Management Office for Defense and Space and you will have the flexibility to work out of one of our various locations in either a hybrid or fully on-site capacity, depending on the business needs and your preference.
In this role, your impact is comprehensive, encompassing strategic alignment, program efficiency, quality assurance, timely delivery, issue resolution, data analysis, reporting, cost management, cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, risk management, team leadership, mentoring and development, compliance, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and organizational growth. You are instrumental in ensuring the successful execution and enhancement of defense and space programs, contributing to the organization's overall success and competitiveness in the market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee the program management office for defense and space programs
Develop and implement program management strategies and best practices
Ensure compliance with program management standards and guidelines
Manage program performance metrics and reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive program success
Provide leadership and guidance to the program management team
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Conduct program reviews and identify areas for improvement
Lead and drive strategic initiatives to enhance program management efficiency and effectiveness
Prioritize building a strong infrastructure for the program management team
Focus on developing and implementing processes, tools, and systems to support program execution and team growth
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management or related roles
Prior experience in a leadership or director-level role
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels within a matrix
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven experience executing programs and delivering successful outcomes
Ability to coach and develop other program managers
Strong focus on building a strong infrastructure for the program management team
