  • Summary

    • The Dispatch Supervisor is primarily responsible for directly supervising the dispatch team, along with the performance, and completion of all Dispatch related performance work statement tasks for MSFC. The Dispatcher Supervisor is responsible for complying with all federal, state, local, NASA and MSFC policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to the operation of the Dispatch Center.

    • Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.

    • track and record all incidents with a chronological listing of events using the CAD system.

    • Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays if needed.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of responsible dispatcher experience.

    • One year of prior supervisory experience.

    • Experience with executing emergency response plans using first response force.

    • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

    • Meet and maintain the requirements Of Public Safety Tele-communicator (PST) and Public Safety Tele-communicator Instructor (PSTI), the standards established by APCO ANS 3.103.2.2015, Minimum Training Standards for Public Safety Tele-communicators .

    • Meet the standards established by the following: DoD Instruction 6055.06, DOD Fire and Emergency Services Program, Enclosure 8 (Telecommunication) ; DOD Instruction 6055.06-M, Fire and Emergency Services Certification ; DoD Directive 3224.3, Physical Security Equipment Research, Development, Test and Evaluation ; and AR 420-90, Fire and Emergency Services . and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System IS-100 IS-200 and IS-700.

    • May be required to possess certifications in the following systems: the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC) reporting system; the CJIS; the DAVID;

    • May be required possess and maintain an Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification.

    • Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance, but not required to start.

    • Must be able to meet drug testing and alcohol - free workforce requirements to include random drug and/or alcohol testing.

    • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
