    Gottlieb Child Development Center is hiring a Teacher for our Early Childhood program. Candidates must be caring and nurturing individuals and meet DCFS Teacher requirements. The Gottlieb Child Development is open shortened hours during our COVID-19 Restrictions but in the future will return to our Monday-Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm. The candidate must be willing to work the days and hours that we require.

    Our Center is open normally Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm (Currently following COVID-19 licensing restrictions, hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm) for children 6 weeks old to 6 years old. Candidates must meet all DCFS requirements/qualifications and must continue to receive 15 hours of CEU's yearly. Responsible for the safety and welfare of the children in the center. Prepare creative and engaging lesson plans that follow our classroom curriculum. Provide a fun and caring environment for each individual student while maintaining DCFS guidelines and Center Policies. Conduct observations of the children; maintain assessments of the children's development; and plan daily activities to go along with the lesson plans. Establish a good working relationship with parents and co-workers; maintain regular communication with parents, co-workers and director providing daily communication surrounding child's progress.

    Changing diapers, helping with bathroom and cleaning the children is required in all the classrooms as well as feeding the children in the younger classrooms.

    Position Requirements:

    Minimum Education:

    Required: Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education

    Preferred: Bachelors Degree

    Specify Degree(s): Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

    Minimum Experience:

    Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

    Licensure/Certifications:

    Required: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

    Preferred:State of IL Food Service Sanitation Managers Certification

    Other: CPR/First Aid Certification 15 Hours of CEU in Early Childhood Education
