    Job Summary

    The Pratt & Whitney (P&W) AutoAir Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) organization is seeking a motivated Industrial Hygienist/Safety professional to join our team at our facilities in Holt and Lansing, MI.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to company EH&S standard procedures and practices.

    • Conducts qualitative and quantitative industrial hygiene assessments of new and existing products, processes, and capital projects.

    • Conducts audits to identify gaps, work with appropriate personnel to identify controls, and track closure of gaps.

    • Drive prevention and risk reduction programs to improve safety and health, policies and procedures.

    • Develops plans, processes, and tools to assess occupational exposures using strategies that align with IH industry standards.

    • Has responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties such as Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Hoist, Cranes and Rigging, Machine Guarding, Audits & Inspections, PPE, Respiratory Protection, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, etc.

    • This position is also expected to provide timely information and guidance to the EHS council and Sub-Committees, including EH&S performance trends and root cause corrective actions for injuries and near misses; and support in the development and implementation of strategic action plans to achieve the company goal of having a hazard-free workplace, injury-free employees and an unmatched commitment to compliance and pollution prevention.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, EHS, supply chain, or other related field and 5 years of experience in EH&S compliance, Management Systems, or related field.

    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience developing industrial hygiene plans and exposure control strategies.

    • Ability to manage sampling activities (ex. planning, sampling, analysis and reporting).

    • Experience generating qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments.

    • Continuous Improvement experience e.g. CORE, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing

    • Certifications, such as ASP, CSP, and CIH

    Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
