Actalent's client is currently hiring for an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for product design and rapid development of products and hardware development. There will be flexibility to work 2 days per week, on average, remotely and average 3 days per week onsite. This role reports to the Engineering Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the development during the full product life cycle.

• Help support and maintain existing products as they are developed

• Independently drive solutions to completion

• Connect with and coordinate with engineers in multiple sites

• Ensure these projects follow the appropriate standard process used (such as 3D and agile).

• Develop functional block diagram for hardware design risk assessment

• Hardware design & manage PCBA build

• Circuit design, simulation and analysis

• Circuit and product risk assessment (P Diagram, FMEA)

• Develop BOM, product costing and manage PCBA build

• Product development, validation, regulatory and production planning

• Develop project plan for system development

• Create validation plan for device and lead risk assessment for manufacturing

• Review product assembly flow plan for controls and containment

• Support product approval for production

• Collaborate with other functions such as sourcing, operations, customer support, etc. to ensure on-time product launches as well as post-launch support.

• Execute project to established timeline with tight budgetary controls

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

• 2+ years experience in product development

• 2+ years of experience in hardware circuit design & development.

• Altium experience

• Experienced in schematic capture, simulation, pcb stack and layout build. Experienced in power, signal and sensor interface.

• Knowledgeable in wireless radio system design
