    Job Description

    Turner & Townsend is seeking an Estimating Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide estimating support to Turner & Townsend's client at the Denver Airport . This position is responsible for ensuring full compliance with estimating procedures in when developing project estimates. THIS IS A FULLY ONSITE ROLE AT THE DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

    The individual may also be required to help/lead the continuous improvement of estimating techniques, tools, and skills. In this role, the individual will act autonomously with minimal technical oversight but will be reporting to Turner & Townsend's Program Director as well as the client project leads.

    This Estimating SME is expected to lead all facets of preparation, review, and presentation of cost estimates to clients and therefore should possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

    Specific requirements are as follows:

    • Display and champion the Core Values of Turner & Townsend and its clients.

    • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external teams.

    • Ensure compliance with Tuner & Townsend's Control Corporate Guidelines and Standards

    • Develop estimate plans and coordinate estimate development with the project team, including preparation of the Estimate Schedule

    • Provide high-quality estimates in a timely manner. The estimator will be responsible for sourcing some information in the estimate. This may include field walks, file searches, personnel interviews etc.

    • Be fully familiar with the use and purpose of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS); WBS design and utilization of WBS in developing estimates.

    • Prepares and presents project and program level cost estimates, which could include review and consolidation of third-party estimates.

    • Coordinate other disciplines and functions to collect all necessary data on scope, quantities and/or cost to prepare accurate cost estimates.

    • Perform analysis on all estimating inputs.

    • Leading the establishment pricing structures to be applied to cost estimates.

    • Ensures that estimates are in line with market trends and pricing, including development and maintenance of project benchmarking data.

    • Manages variations and changes to base estimate and ensures that implications of changes are evaluated before finalizing the solution.

    • Be fully familiar with development of Indirect Costs, Fees, Owners Cost.

    • Performs escalation and contingency calculations for complex projects.

    • Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis and @Risk software experience are a plus.

    • Develop or assist in the development of Home Office and Construction estimates.

    • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as leading and managing the workload of other team members.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • At least 10+ years' work experience with Heavy Industrial/Natural Resources capital project work

    • CCS Candy or Heavy bid experience preferred. AspenTech knowledge desired.

    • Ability to utilize MS Excel as an estimating tool is essential.

    • Bachelor's degree (preferably Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field) is a plus but not necessary.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.

    • Prior field work is a plus.

    • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.

    • Local candidates preferred, if not local, must be relocatable in Q2/2024 (relocation assistance provided).
