Estimator/Project Manager - Jointa Lime Company

Collins Companies is seeking a full-time Estimator/Project Manager with our Paving Division at our corporate office located in Wilton, NY, just outside the historic city of Saratoga Springs.

Job responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

• Follow and reinforce company safety policies

• Reviews plans and specifications to determine scope and resources necessary to complete the proposal

• Develop a complete and accurate bid proposal including quantity take-off, crew composition, material, and subcontractor pricing

• Prepare the project budget

• Attend pre-bid meetings with the owner, vendors, and subcontractors

• Outline and communicate specifications for superintendents and foreperson.

• Procure materials for the project.

• Represent the company in communications with the owner, engineer, suppliers, and subcontractors

• Develop and manage project documentation and schedule

• Visit project sites to observe construction methods

• Communicate and reinforce the company vision, values, and goals.

• Perform a variety of tasks that will include having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb, and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and be able to hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associates degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred

• Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in milling and paving project estimating and/or project management

• Have a working knowledge of means and methods, crew composition, and production rates for milling and paving projects.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and CPM scheduling software

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time

Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience, participation in company bonus plan, an excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, and a company funded pension plan.

$72,000-$137,500

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
