    Brief Department Description

    RTX Raytheon Real Estate Services has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at the McKinney, TX site.

    What you will do

    • The position focus will be to maintain, troubleshoot and repair all infrastructure systems including HVAC, Chilled Water Distribution, pumps, motors, and frontend building automation controls.

    • In this role you need to perform as a night shift compressed facilities mechanic supporting plant operations.

    • This role requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts to cover the site 24/7 from 6:00 pm until 6:00 am.

    • Provide coverage and support for the facility days/nights/weekends if business, schedule, or emergency situations arise.

    What type of experience will be gained through this position

    • The hired applicant will learn how to manage facilities operations in a 2 Million square foot manufacturing building.

    • They will gain technical experience working alongside senior mechanics and contractors.

    • They will also learn to troubleshoot large infrastructure equipment and controls.

    Qualifications you must have

    • At least 4 years experience in the following areas:

    • HVAC and Building Automation Controls

    • Maintenance of pumps, motors, valve and actuator operation

    • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems

    • Refrigeration cycles

    • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex schematics

    • Computer acumen to include strong understanding of the function and application of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools.

    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation

    Education Experience Skills and Certifications

    • This role requires a HS Diploma or GED or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post HS training) and 4 or more years of relevant experience

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools/sites that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • Strong Oral/ Written Communication skills

    • Customer Focused

    • Expertise in Electrical, VFD's and motor controls

    • Prior experience leading and/or team members

    • PLC controls troubleshooting

    • Journeyman level license in relevant field

    The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 83,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
