    Job Overview

    Performs a variety of de?ned assignments with independent judgment required within the framework of a task. Primary focus will be on equipment installation inspections and system functional validation.

    Directly supervise the work of on-site inspector level staff while providing technical advice to on-site inspectors, preparation of inspection progress reports, and assisting with preparing site documents. Regular work travel for up to 4-week periods is required.

    Responsibilities

    • Technical Skills: Provides technical guidance to client based on governing documents. Concise, well considered and error free memos and emails. Good interpersonal skills.

    • Continuous learning and development: Actively pursues new knowledge and skillsets, taking advantage of opportunities to use skills from prior experience to excel in new subject areas.

    • Identifying areas for development and working with the team to develop relevant skillsets.

    • Decision Making Ability: Exercises initiative in adapting and applying procedures to address unusual situations and to resolve issues, while engaging Technical Managers and Project Managers from within the company and the client side.

    • Supervision Provided & Direction Received: Supervisor of junior on-site inspectors, applying mature knowledge to planning and conducting assignments. Collaborates with Technical Managers on complex problems.

    • Leadership Status: Spearheads initiatives to improve existing processes and share gained knowledge and information.

    • Business Acumen: Professional standards of written and verbal communication, proficiency using MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

    • Review installations against manufacturer, client, and industry standards whilst considering operational safety and functional intent.

    • Maintain a high level of awareness of site progress and potential issues to effectively plan inspection timelines to meet deadlines.

    • Collaborate with installers and site management teams to highlight and troubleshoot generic faults.

    • Understand the operation and intent of onsite information capturing / reporting tools (Ozark, Fulcrum, BIM 360 and others).

    • Clearly document and record observations using the reporting tools through photographs and descriptions.

    • Coordinate with onsite quality managers regarding installation standards and effectively manage time to efficiently complete work in coordination with installation schedule.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • 3+ years documented inspection experience in Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and Fire Pumps.

    • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet project requirements.

    • ICC Fire Inspector Certification preferred but not required.
