Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager for Asbury Methodist Village, an upscale continuing care retirement community located in Gaithersburg, Maryland . Asbury Methodist Village is among the country's largest continuing care retirement communities and proudly calls Montgomery County, Maryland home. With 134 beautiful acres, our campus is a certified arboretum and includes a 17-acre wildlife preserve.

This Food Service Manager will oversee the daily food service operations for 185 skilled care and 135 assisted living residents, Meals on Wheels program, and a small on-site café. Will report to the Food Operations Manager and manage an hourly staff of approximately 30 FT and PT employees. Typical shift will typically be 12:00pm - 8:30pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage.

The successful candidate will:

• mainly oversee dining room operations and will assist in kitchen as needed;

• evaluate and develop service levels for the overall resident meal service program targeted to exceed resident and customer satisfaction;

• collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the resident experience;

• ensure food quality and presentation;

• exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits; and

• perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development, scheduling of staff.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
