  • Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Griffin, Georgia. This role involves managing the financial aspects of multiple small businesses, focusing on various accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and billing functions. The role requires onsite presence, demonstrating proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage financial aspects of multiple small businesses ranging in size and industry

    • Utilize accounting software systems such as Peachtree Sage and QuickBooks to maintain financial records

    • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed

    • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete

    • Oversee billing functions, ensuring all invoices are sent and payments received in a timely manner

    • Use Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel and Outlook, to create financial reports and communicate with other team members

    • Ensure all accounting practices adhere to financial regulations and standards

    • Monitor financial data and report any discrepancies or issues

    • Aid in the transition process due to the retirement of the current bookkeeper

    • Ensure the confidentiality and security of financial information. Requirements - Possess a minimum of three years experience in a bookkeeper role or similar

    • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and Peachtree Sage

    • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Excel and Outlook

    • Understanding of accounting functions, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR)

    • Experience with bank reconciliations and billing functions

    • Ability to manage and maintain detailed and accurate financial records

    • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail

    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    • Understanding of data privacy standards and financial regulations.
