    Engage across Enterprise Technology to govern and monitor the execution of activities required to effectively plan and prepare for major incidents and events potentially impacting the ability to meet key technology-related delivery objectives and commitments. Identify and provide advice to address weaknesses in related processes, risks and controls in place across Enterprise Technology.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

    • Provide risk advice and serve as a Subject Matter expert on risks relating to technology resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing to promote readiness and strengthen compliance with applicable regulations, policies, procedures and risk program requirements

    • Manage Enterprise Technology monitoring, reporting and oversight routines to ensure timely planning, execution of exercises/testing and related remediation items for Enterprise Technology business continuity and disaster recovery

    • Partner with GCO teams aligned to technology leaders, lines of business and second line partners to identify, escalate and remediate risk control gaps to assure Enterprise Technology compliance with Truist resilience and Business & Technology Continuity Management program requirements

    • Review and challenge design and execution of business continuity planning and exercises, providing risk advisory to technology owners

    • Review and challenge design and execution of DR planning and testing, providing risk advisory to technology owners

    • Participate in resiliency planning and ongoing routines for the enterprise, providing risk advisory to technology teams

    • Ensure business continuity testing and disaster recovery testing are executed according to plan and measured

    • Provide periodic analysis and reporting on results and trends in business continuity and disaster recovery, identifying areas for improvement

    • Represent Enterprise Technology and the Governance and Control Office on the Corporate Event Response Team during significant events and coordinate as needed with incident category owners and subject matter experts to engage and communicate as needed

    • Partner across Governance and Control Office teams and Enterprise Technology partners to ensure effective major incident communication, escalation and recovery as needed

    • Monitor post-incident actions and incident trends to ensure actions are taken to address root causes, lessons learned and risks associated with major incidents

    • Foster a spirit of continuous improvement and offer recommendations to refine and/or enhance Enterprise Technology and Governance and Controls Office processes relating to Enterprise Technology incidents and events as necessary

    • Participate in establishing and reviewing key processes and controls, and work with partners to evaluate evolving risks and ensure risk mitigation plans are established to improve processes.

    • Review and provide feedback on control testing and assessment results, and monitor action plans accordingly

    • Participate in issue identification, establishment of strong remediation plans, and monitor successful completion

    • Participate in new technology decisions to understand DR and BC expectations and integration.

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience.

    • Seven years of risk management leadership experience in financial services or related field

    • Deep working knowledge of key risk types within assigned areas of focus.

    • Seven years proven leadership experience in resiliency and disaster recovery and working knowledge of impact/integration with business units.

    • Working knowledge of rules/laws/regs aligned to technology for business continuity and incident management.

    • Strong experience and background in core focus areas as defined by assigned business unit.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to think critically and creatively to problem solve and improve process to mitigate risk.

    • Ability to navigate the organization, conduct discussions across all levels of the company.

    • Ability to provide effective challenge to across levels of the organization.

    • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in finance or equivalent science/academic field.

    • Ten years' experience in resiliency, DR and incident management.
