Graphic Designer - Hybrid

GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible in formulating design concepts and presentation approaches, and direct artwork and layout design for multi-media communications, such as collaterals, magazines, print media, packaging, digital executions, design for sales and marketing materials within a client's brand standards

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Develop and design new creative concepts for various clients, including but not limited to: print collateral, brand and product related ads, brochures, logos, direct mail, web pages and video graphical elements

• Responsible for design to project completion.

• Interpret the appropriate creative using direction given and develop layouts in collaboration with account manager(s), art director(s), copywriter(s) and design peers

• Collaborate with other team members on design projects; adhering to project schedules and coordinating with other departments/vendors to create project deliverables

• Generate comps, layouts and final mechanicals while maintaining client's brand standards and any third-party standards.

• Work directly with internal team to ensure content quality, accuracy, timeliness, appropriateness and adherence to company specifications

• Maintain and develop competency and awareness in the latest design trends and production techniques.

• Maintain knowledge of graphic design principles and digital/print production processes.

• Proof artwork and preflight files for release into production.

• Produce final files that image properly to print specifications.

• Conduct interviews and gather information to help better understand the brand objectives

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree, graphic design preferred

• Minimum of one (1) year graphic design experience, healthcare industry preferred

• Proficient in use of graphic design software for Mac including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office software such as PowerPoint and Word

• Superior communication, presentation, collaboration and influencing skills

• Must be capable in maintaining regular attendance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, & BEHAVIORS

• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud design software Advanced skills in Microsoft Office

• Understanding of production methods (offset, digital, web)

• Basic knowledge of video/motion graphics development utilizing programs such as Adobe AfterEffects and Final Cut Pro, preferred

• Positive attitude, creative thinking and highly self-motivated

• Creative thinking, copywriting and design development skills

• Great organizational and time management skills

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

• Excellent precision and high production rate

• Refined interpersonal skills - able to interact with clients

• Able to perform under pressure and with short deadlines

• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing as necessary, to consistently meet or beat project deadlines

• Able to clearly communicate creative concepts in front of cross-functional groups

• Must be able to maintaining confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information
