Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic GNC Manager who is preoccupied with big questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to evolve as a species?

    SUMMARY: Our team is looking for a GNC Manager to support the design, development, assembly, integration, test, validation, flight production and operations of our GNC System for Axiom Station modules. We are looking for an individual who will manage, lead, and direct the GNC Team and objectives for mission success. The role requires a strong technical background, people / organizational time management, and adept communication skills.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Strategically manage the GNC subsystem in fast-paced environment.

    • Lead, mentor, train, and develop 15+ GNC engineers.

    • Actively manage subsystem schedules, staffing needs, budgets, and deliverables.

    • Accomplish subsystem objectives by managing staff and technical workload.

    • Actively manage subsystem schedules, staffing needs, and budget.

    • Manage the GNC hardware/system requirements, tools, and processes.

    • Manage subsystem suppliers, deliverables, and content.

    • Manage and mitigate system and programmatic level risks.

    Education & Experience

    • 10+ years of experience leading technical teams.

    • Experience in an Engineering Management or Lead Engineer role.

    • Experience in hiring and building a high performing team.

    • Demonstrated leadership for driving issue resolution and mitigating technical risk.

    • Able to work effectively in an Agile / Scrum environment.

    • Ability to motivate and provide clear and concise direction to direct reports.

    • Able to manage project scope and schedule.

    • Experience with simulation and modeling, trajectory development, Monte Carlo analysis, spacecraft control, RPOC/RPOD, navigation filters and hardware, and software tools like Trick, Python, and C++.

    Essential Functions

    Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

    Requirements

    • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

    • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

    • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

    Physical Requirements

    • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
