  • Job Description

    An insurance employer is seeking a Technical Architect to join their team in Hartford, CT. There are a couple of openings on the Technical Architecture team; one supporting the company's Adobe Experience Manager and associated applications, and the other supporting the company's IT financial applications such as MS Dynamics Finance & Operations, Oracle, and others. This is a hands-on technical role, and the Technical Architect will partner with the Product Managers, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and development staff to analyze application changes or modifications and confirm that they meet the business needs. This includes managing the application assets and directing the development efforts. The key function of the role is to take architectural designs from the Solution Architect and document a technical design that can be shared with developers and then confirm (through code reviews and application analysis) that the solution meets the needs in a secure and performant way. The Technical lead's time will be spent designing and documenting efficient, secure, reusable, and reliable code leveraging agreed establish specifications and standards. They will need to communicate design to the developers, answer questions, and handle design issues. They will manage code quality via code reviews, release management, and mentor developers. The Technical Architect will be involved in the full lifecycle of the project from a technical design perspective and provide support analysis throughout the build, test, and deployment phases of the projects. They will also collaborate with the enterprise and solution architects to develop and maintain architectural documentation and ensure associated technical efforts are planned, approved, and completed according to the roadmaps defined. This is a hands on technical role couples with management and oversight specifically around the digital portal, Adobe Experience Manager, and associated .Net and Java applications.

    Skills and Requirements

    8+ years of experience as a Technical Architect/Technical Lead or senior level developer/engineer

    Hands on programming ability within various technologies

    Leadership experience or ability for onsite and offshore development resources

    Experience with SQL, .Net and/or Java and Javascript programming

    Expertise with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) OR IT financial applications such as Oracle, MS Dynamics, Peoplesoft, etc. null
