    Industrial Engineer - Piney Flats, TN

    You will be an integral part of the manufacturing and aircraft services teams. The Industrial Engineer will work closely with warehouse, manufacturing, and customization departments to help analyze, understand, and improve processes throughout the business.

    You'll be able to hone your technical abilities on significant continuous improvement and industrial engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

    The work is onsite in Piney Flats, Tennessee.

    What you'll be doing as an Industrial Engineer:

    • Conduct projects with limited supervision focused on productivity activities to support cross utilization of team, success of business initiatives and process waste reduction, leading to more repeatable and rapid moving processes

    • Help promote a culture of continual improvement by communicating with and listening to co-workers to understand their needs

    • Design layout of facilities, warehouse, and production floor to increase efficiency.

    • Analyze processes to make data driven decisions and increase overall clarity, helping all levels understand cause-and-effect relationships and improve productivity and business practices

    • Improved working conditions through removal or reduction of unnecessary or tedious tasks

    • Better communication with and through supervisors to illuminate issues and improve processes

    • Present findings and possible solutions in a clear and concise manner, both to upper management and individual contributors

    • Implement and follow through with changes to assure they become the standard and part of the culture

    • Promote a safe work environment (as measured by TRIR and LTIR)

    Qualifications

    Skills You Bring To this Role:

    • Solid communication, relationship building and customer partnering skills

    • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to document procedures, express processes in writing and flow chart processes

    • Understanding of lean concepts and tools (i.e. flowcharting, time studies, etc.)

    • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement

    • Ability to implement process changes

    • Drive for results, ambition, energy and perseverance

    What you need to be successful:

    • At least 2 years of directly related experience in Industrial Engineering focus in support of warehouse or manufacturing or aircraft customization process

    • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

    • Knowledge or experience of warehouse/distribution center design and operations.

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

    • Knowledge of SAP

    • Basic knowledge of manufacturing and lean processes

    • Green or Black Belt Certification is preferred
