    BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

    MSC's internship program is a rewarding and challenging development program for talented, high performing students. Interns are assigned to a functional area for a 10-week assignment. Each assignment will offer the opportunity for students to work on defined projects, develop leadership skills and interact with associates across all levels of the organization. (THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION)

    DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Problem-solving and analytical understanding of statistics and data.

    • Technical skills and competency in using data analytics software like Tableau, PowerBI or advanced Excel.

    • Develop and examine datasets to identify patterns and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven storytelling.

    • Have an introduction to tools used in AI/Machine Learning.

    • Gains industry knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.

    • Rotates through various roles within the Data Analytics team, learning, observing, and assisting associates currently performing those functions.

    • Learns MSC's products, services, solutions processes, analytical toolsets, and culture.

    • Analyzes, writes, maintains, and presents insights utilizing data visualization tools to support decision making process.

    • Develop knowledge and understanding of how Data Analytics team utilizes technology to improve overall effectiveness.

    • Develops skills needed for a career in data analytics.

    • Supports assigned business manager with project work.

    • Presents intern project results to business leaders.

    • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.

    • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

    • High School diploma required.

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.

    • Excellent academic record (minimum 3.0 GPA)

    SKILLS:

    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software required.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

    • Excellent time management and organizational skills required.

    • Positive, high-energy approach to assignments and a willingness to learn quickly required.

    Starting hourly pay - $20.00 per hour

    Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an Employment Visa.

    This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information ("ITAR") and/or Controlled Unclassified Information ("CUI").
