    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The IT Asset Manager role is responsible for facilitating the daily and long-term strategic lifecycle management of client and infrastructure hardware assets, software assets and softwares licenses throughout the organization. This includes planning, acquiring, deployment, management, retirement and disposition of hardware and software assets and contracts to ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and third party requirements. The individual will also be responsible for participation in internal and external audits, procurement and procurement/finance strategies as they pertain to IT Asset Management (ITAM) - and physical asset security.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership and guidance over DISH's IT Asset lifecycle for hardware and software

    • Support all members of the ITAM/SAM/HAM Teams, sponsors and stakeholders

    • Document and maintain the policies and processes required for an effective ITAM program

    • Provide requirements and oversight to systems managing and tracking the IT assets

    • Responsibility for the quality of IT asset data within the asset management systems

    • Regularly audit processes, data, controls, and security of the IT assets

    • Review and communicate analysis of software license and hardware contract compliance as needed

    • Regular report on the IT Asset Management program status, plans, and deficiencies

    • Partner with the internal DISH compliance team on asset processes and effectiveness

    • Lead external audit processes, analyses, and resolutions

    • Drive increased automation for software asset management process efficiencies

    • Administer contracts and relationships to maximize value creation of software licensing and support

    • Build audit defense process and risk assessment/compliance methodologies to reduce audit likelihood

    • Help develop dashboards, reporting, metrics, and program KPIs/CSFs

    • Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and others - internal and external

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Education and Experience:

    • 5+ years of process/program management experience in a large enterprise environment

    • 3+ years of IT Hardware and Software Asset Management experience in a large enterprise environment

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • IAITAM CITAM, CHAMP and/or CSAM Certification preferred

    • Acute awareness of the IT Asset Management Lifecycle for hardware and software

    • Understanding of the relationship ITAM has with ITSM, ITOM, FINOPS

    • Understanding of the budgetary process and how ITAM relates to CapEx and OpEx expenses

    • Performed license remediation utilizing Microsoft Volume Licensing (VLSC) or M365 AdminCenter (M365-MAC).

    • Comprehensive knowledge of technologies supporting asset management processes

    • In-depth knowledge of CMDB relationships in an ITSM platform, especially ServiceNow

    • Understanding and working knowledge of ITIL principles and practices

    • Knowledge of physical asset security, control, and auditing

    • Experience in agreements negotiations with SW publishers, VARs, HW manufacturers, and other vendors

    • Experience in Microsoft, Adobe, other large publisher periodic license/agreement renewals/TrueUps

    • Administered Adobe perpetual and cloud licensing via the various Adobe Admin consoles, ETLA and/or VIP

    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

    • Knowledge and experience in the following technologies: ServiceNow, Google GCP and Workspace (GSuite), Microsoft Licensing, Apple Device Management, SCCM, Workspace One/Airwatch, infrastructure and client hardware, and software delivery methods

    Salary Ranges

    Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
